"Artdrama"
Carmela's artists workshops are a result of development and long-time experience with youth, students, women and adults.
The work method is based on the principles of dramatic improvisation and was developed by Carmela into a complex improvisation through movement, voice, use of texts and unconventional examination and studying of works of art.
The activity in the workshop is unique, individual or group work, using the language of arts, psychodrama, movement, voice, text writing, drawing and working with different materials.
The special aspect of the workshop lies in using works from the history of art while practicing.
The aim of the activity: the participant experiences renewal and fresh experiences with the world around, spontaneous reactions from the guts or the head, memory practice, enrichment of one's inner world, creativity, and above all – pleasure and gratification.

Carmela Ben Yishay - artist's profile
Carmela is poetess, chant writer and multi-disciplinary performer, creating one-man shows that combine singing artistic reading, movement and acting, all based on the personal poems and on the sacred poetry of the ancient chants. In her poetry one can sense a strong affinity to ancient poetry and a tendency towards lyrical style. Her one-man shows have aroused great interest and curiosity both in Israel and abroad, and her poems were translated into English and into other languages.

Poems from the book were broadcast on Kol Israel (The Voice of Israel) and on the Voice of Music.
When poems from the cycle "Time of the Vineyard" first appeared in various magazines they aroused special interest – not only because of their content, their rhythm and the renewed poetic models, but also due to the mystical origins in her poetry, deeply rooted in the entity of the ancient East. Carmela Ben Yishay sticks to her own poetic saying and shapes a personal way of expression special in its voice, a voice that succeeds in covering up the fine line between the rhythmical lyrics and the music, this inner music that we feel/hear when reading her poems.
"…women's veils on the shores of an ancient land
The taste of strong steaming coffee
To you am I coming, to make you a woman of legends
And the galloping of the veiled desert riders
Coming unto their women".
Will take place in Malor Galleria, Caesaria, 11:00
